App guide

Dates and historical sync

Understand date ranges, coverage and refresh progress.

  1. Check the dates first

Choose the report's date range in Reports. Confirm its timezone and date basis. A financial-year range describes the requested period, not a guarantee that Shopify has granted the app that much history.

  2. Review incomplete-history warnings

Normal order access is limited to recent history, usually the latest 60 days. Older orders require Shopify-approved additional access. A partial annual export must not be treated as a complete annual account.

  3. Open Data Sync

Go to Settings → Data Sync. Choose the dataset and Changed records or Full accessible refresh. Only datasets allowed by the app's current permissions can be read.

  4. Start one refresh

Start refresh queues background work. A first Changed records request initializes a full accessible refresh when no successful previous sync exists. It does not bypass the order-history limit.

  5. Follow progress

Review dataset, mode, processed records, pages, status and any explanation in Sync history. Use its search, filters, sorting and Previous, Next or page buttons to find older retained runs. Resolve a failed permission or source check before starting again.

  6. Decide whether to enable automation

Automatic refresh is off initially. Eligible plans can opt into changed-record refresh every six hours and a full accessible refresh at least weekly. Turn it on only for datasets you want maintained.
