Report templates
Choose the right starting point for your question.
Choose a question
Use orders or line items for order detail, payment transactions for payment events, refunds for successful refund payments, and products, variants or inventory for catalog and stock views.
Keep similar measures distinct
Order value snapshots are not the complete Shopify Analytics net-sales model. Merchandise return quantities are different from successful refund payments.
Check finance prerequisites
Payout templates need Shopify Payments data and the corresponding read permission. Bogus Gateway test orders do not create genuine payouts. Reconciliation explains ledger differences; it does not confirm a bank deposit.
Review the template details
Check which records, date basis and default columns the template uses. Unavailable permissions or unsupported source data must be resolved rather than treated as zero business activity.
Save your own version
Use template opens the separate creation page. Name the report, choose the format and columns, and save to return to Reports. Saved reports show six per page. Search, filter by folder or favorites, sort, and use Previous, Next or a page number to find a report. Edit opens its existing configuration on the editor page; Duplicate creates an independent copy.
